In 90% of avalanche incidents, the avalanche was triggered by a backcountry adventurer. Often, the warning signs existed. It’s up to the backcountry enthusiast to develop decision making skills based on critical data, education, and experience. Be safer this winter by taking an Avalanche class to learn and practice the skills necessary to make wiser decisions in the backcountry.

Thanks Bill! Yes, this is only a starter calendar of avalanche courses for the upcoming winter season. It’s still early, and some organizations are confirming their winter dates. I hope to add these courses as they become available. I will also add clinics for the months after December and for the rest of the winter season. ~Kari
